Yukio Yamada Sensei 5th Dan

Yukio (Glen) Yamada started kendo in 1975 with the Tokabudokan Dojo in Toronto with Sensei L. Nakamura, M. Tagawa and S. Kimura. Yukio Yamada became a student of S. Kimura when Kimura Sensei started his Takubukan Dojo in the late seventies. The Takubukan Dojo later became the Toronto Kendo Club. The TKC celebrated its 30th Anniversary in July 30, 2011. Yamada, Kimura and Richard Tizzard Sensei founded the Mississauga Kendo Club in 1996. Yamada received 5th dan in 2006. He is still an instructor at the Mississauga Dojo and the Head Instructor at the Hamilton Kendo Dojo.
